Multiplayer in Black Ops 7
Players will be able to test their skills in a variety of multiplayer modes, including a mix of classics like Team Deathmatch and Domination, newer favorites like Death Oath, and the new addition: Overload. Each mode has been fully tuned and balanced for the best experience within Black Ops 7.
New Mode – Overload (Available in Beta): In Overload, squads face off for control of a device that must be brought into enemy territory to score points. The momentum of the match changes dramatically as the device changes hands, making every capture, escort, and interception a decisive moment in this new 6v6 mode.
Other Announced Modes: Black Ops 7 Multiplayer offers a slate of game modes in the Beta and at launch, from Team Deathmatch, Domination, and Search and Destroy to Kill Confirmed, Hardpoint, Firefight, Control, and more.

Multiplayer Maps
Black Ops 7 will launch with 16 6v6 hub maps and two Skirmish combat zones, designed for tactical intensity across a wide variety of locations. Each location balances fast-paced firefights with strategic routes, offering arenas scaled for close-quarters combat or long-range dominance.
16 Launch Maps: Six maps debut during the Beta, with 16 available at launch. From oil rigs and robotics labs to neon-lit streets and Arctic crash sites, each scenario offers unique combat encounters. Classics like Expresso, Hijacked, and Raid return, rebuilt for the 2035 setting.
Skirmish Maps: For larger-scale combat, the 20v20 Skirmish features Hightown and Military Island. Players will fight for urban towers, courtyards, and parks, or storm a fortified coastal compound. Both maps feature vehicles, vertical lifts, and wide sightlines, delivering expansive battles that amplify the chaos and scale of Black Ops combat.
Loadouts and Equipment
Overclocks: Black Ops 7 features ten editable Loadouts covering weapons, Perks, equipment, and more. A new Overclock system allows you to turbocharge your equipment during a match, unlocking upgrades like faster Field Upgrades, reduced Scorestreak costs, or more dangerous equipment.
Tactical and Lethal: Tactical equipment disorients, disables, heals, or reveals, while Lethal equipment deals devastating damage through explosives, drones, or deployable devices. With Overclocks enhancing everything from blast radius to stun strength, every throw or position becomes a tactical choice that reshapes combat.
Field Augments: Reset your attack power mid-match with new and tweaked Field Augments that provide ammo, launch drones, camouflage Operators, or even deploy holograms, each device gaining Overclocking abilities.
Wildcards and Perks: Wildcards return, granting extra attachments, bonus equipment, or even replacing Scorestreaks with more Perks through the Specialist Wildcard. Perks define Operator specialties across the Enforcer, Recon, and Tactician categories, with Black Ops 7 introducing hybrid specialties that unlock powerful new bonuses by mixing categories.
