Another game mode will no longer be supported in Hearthstone. Unlike Mercenaries Mode, which, being a single-player game, remained in the game, Duels Mode will be removed this April.
Since a new expansion is likely to arrive around that time, the main patch will likely include the game mode’s removal. Duels had a progression-based approach, with players facing off against each other, and apparently didn’t have many players.

Thinking about the future of Hearthstone and where the team can best focus its efforts, we’ve made the difficult decision to discontinue support for Duels Mode. We have no plans for future updates for Duels, and the mode itself is scheduled to be removed from the Hearthstone client in April 2024.
This change will allow us to direct our resources to where we believe they will have the greatest impact, including Traditional Hearthstone, Battlegrounds, and more. To that end, Battlegrounds Duos will receive a Battlegrounds patch, and we’re experimenting with some Duel Treasures in the next Arena season. More details coming soon.
We want to thank all our passionate Duel fans for every loot, treasure, and hard-earned victory along the way. It was a heroic session, and we couldn’t have done it without you.
