This week, Santa Monica Studio, the developer of the God of War games, released a mysterious teaser reel for God of War Ragnarok: Valhalla.
The message’s description hints at Kratos’ return to Ancient Greece!
“Oh, here it is. Home. Fantastic. Home.”

Valhalla is an extra content for God of War Ragnarok, offering a more “rogue-like” Kratos experience, but without the presence of Atreus. The content came at a good time for fans of the saga, and since then, speculation has been rife about the studio’s and the character’s next steps.
For example, Victor from Ovicio commented that it could be a hint at a remake. I believe Sony could use the game’s structure for a paid DLC for the story, with the Spartan god perhaps returning for real to Ancient Greece.
But several players have always commented that it could be interesting to explore other mythologies from around the world, such as Egyptian mythology, the first one many are betting on for future games in the series.
In any case, we’ll have to wait for news from Santa Monica Studio and Sony itself.
